Statement of intent

Synopsis -
In a world barren and abandoned a man cowers in his home. At night it's not safe. Outisde the next day he witnesses the carnage that night brings. He wants to remain alone. He is distracted by a fire that burns in the distance. No one is there. His home has been ransacked. He spends a night outside.

Subject Matter - Isolation, Fear, Unknown, Great change, Survival, Desperation, Two quotes from Stephen Hawking, 'If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America' and 'We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet.' Then reflecting on these themes and making a creative visual response in a short film.
